Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You may hold one account, in your own name, with a real photo. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account — keep your sign-in details private.

Tonight is a platform for discovering and joining group plans. Users create plans; other users ask to join; the host decides who's in. Tonight is not a party to any plan and does not organise, supervise, endorse or attend them. We do not employ, screen or vet hosts.

When you join a plan you may meet people you don't know. Tonight does not run criminal background checks. You are responsible for your own safety: meet in public places, tell a friend where you're going, don't share your home address or financial details, and leave any situation that feels wrong. If someone makes you feel unsafe, block and report them in the app.

To reduce risk, plans on Tonight are group activities — the app is built so you are never matched into a one-on-one meeting with a stranger.

You keep ownership of the text and images you add (plan descriptions, messages, your bio and photo). You grant Tonight a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute that content within the app so the service can function. You are responsible for having the rights to anything you post.

Cover photos offered in the app are supplied by Pexels and are subject to the Pexels licence.

You agree not to:

• break the law, or use Tonight to arrange anything illegal
• harass, threaten, impersonate, or post hateful, sexual or violent content — see the Community Guidelines
• use Tonight for commercial promotion, recruiting, soliciting or spam without our written permission
• create fake plans or fake accounts, or scrape, bot or reverse-engineer the service
• collect other users' information for any purpose outside a shared plan

We enforce these terms and the Community Guidelines. We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or delete accounts — with or without notice — when someone breaks the rules or puts others at risk.

You can block any user and report any user or plan from inside the app. We review reports of harmful content and behaviour promptly and act on anything that breaks these terms, including removing content and banning accounts. An automated filter also blocks offensive language in plans, profiles and messages.

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes your profile, your plans, your messages and your photos. Some records may be retained where the law requires it or to handle a safety report.

Tonight is provided “as is”. We don't promise the service will always be available, error-free, or that the people or plans you find will meet your expectations. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tonight and its team are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for the conduct of any user — online or in person — including anything that happens at or because of a plan. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

We may update these terms as Tonight develops. If we make a material change we'll let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use Tonight after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
