Community Guidelines

Tonight only works if it's real and it's kind.
These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service. Breaking them can get your content removed or your account banned. If you see something that breaks them, report it in the app.
Be a real person
Use your real first name and a clear, recent photo of yourself. No impersonation, no fake profiles, no accounts run on behalf of a brand or business without our permission.
Plans are plans — not dates
Tonight is for doing things with people: a run, a rooftop, a long table dinner. Plans are group activities. Don't use Tonight to pursue someone romantically or sexually, and don't treat a plan as a way to get someone alone.
Treat people well
Don't post, send or say anything that is:
- harassing, bullying, threatening or intimidating
- hateful or discriminatory toward a person or group
- sexually explicit, or sexualising anyone
- violent, graphic, or promoting self-harm
An automated filter blocks offensive language in plan titles, descriptions, profiles and messages. Trying to get around it is itself a breach.
Keep it safe
- Host and meet in public places.
- Don't ask for or share home addresses, financial details or ID.
- Don't pressure anyone to drink, stay, go somewhere else, or do anything they're not comfortable with.
- No plans centred on drugs, excessive drinking, or anything illegal.
- Don't bring anyone under 18 to a plan.
No spam or selling
Don't use Tonight to advertise, promote a business, recruit, fundraise, run a giveaway, or drive people to another platform — unless we've agreed it with you in writing. Don't create plans you don't intend to host.
Reporting and what happens next
You can block any user from their plan or your chat — they won't see you or your plans, and you won't see theirs.
You can report any user or plan from the “⋯” menu. Reports are confidential — the person is not told who reported them.
We review reports promptly and, depending on what we find, we may remove content, warn the user, restrict their account, or ban them permanently. Serious safety concerns may be referred to the police.
